For our inquiry learning, Jada, Trinity and I made a wearable arts costume. This is also related to the Star Blaze School production.
We researched all different designs, but only two stood out for us. We combined both of the designs into one.
For our top, we laced up the back of it and out cards all around. For our skirt we put pleats in for it to stand out.
We decided to use recylclable items so we could re-use things instead of buying new items.
Our purpose for this was to re-use old recyclable objects to make a new belonging.
Takeata, Year 8
Our students can look forward to our brand new fitness stations, which were installed over the Term 2 holidays.
The students in Years 7/8Â were asked which fitness stations they would like in our school, to support their physical development and fitness. From a range of 20 pieces of equipment, the students chose the stations shown in the photo. The stations were then put into a proposal for the FCG.
The proposal was taken to the FCG Meeting and the FCG agreed to use Gala 2016 funds to build these stations. With additional support from the Board of Trustees, the fitness stations were confirmed.
Our new fitness stations look terrific and will be a fantastic asset for our school.
