Te Kama (Year 3 & 4)
Te Kama (Year 3 & 4, Rooms 1, 2, 3, 8, 9)
We have have set a blog via Seesaw for parents to access Te Kama Updates. On this page we will post some general links and resources relating to the work that your child will be assigned.
Online learning for Te Kama Team will look similar to what students would complete on their contracts while at school. It will focus predominantly on reading, writing and maths. We will schedule activities via Seesaw on a regular basis. You will need to download the Seesaw Class app (this is different from the family app) to access all of the assigned tasks.
Please contact your classroom teacher if you don’t have this. These tasks will be found under the ‘Activities’ section on Seesaw. Most of the activities will require your child to respond and we will approve and comment when necessary.Literacy tasks will cover aspects of the Daily Five such as word work, work on writing, reading to someone, reading to self and listening to reading. We will provide some links to text online which may also have follow up activities.
For maths, this may be in the form of a game that your child should be familiar with, an activity related to place value or a problem-solving task. The only resources you may require are counters (paper/stones), dice and cards. Your child should also have access to their Mathletics passwords which is a great tool to support their mathematics learning. https://www.mathletics.com/nz.
